September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. EUSA is kicking off our Fall 2021 season by teaming up with Go4theGoal, a local NJ 501(c)3 organization, to fundraise for their Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer Program through the Fall 2021 soccer season.

The Go4theGoal program provides financial support to families for things like transportation, meals, bills, toys/games to keep the kids busy in the hospital, laptops/tablets to help them with schoolwork while in the hospital or at home, as well as developing and implementing unique hospital programs, funding innovative research, and granting personal wishes. All funds raised stay in the area where they were raised thereby helping children in the New Jersey area.

Statistically, 15,780 children are diagnosed with cancer annually. 20% of those will not survive. Cancer remains the #1 cause of death by disease for children in the USA. Two-thirds of pediatric cancer patients must live with chronic conditions associated with their treatment.

Our goal is to help kids and make a REAL impact on their lives and their families. EUSA has made an intial donation of $250. We are challenging all our Travel & InterCounty teams to help. How? By scoring goals! For every goal your team scores in the regular Fall 2021 season, EUSA will donate an additional $5 per goal at the end of the Fall season. You can further help by donating $5 for a pair of GOLD SHOELACES to show your support.

Get your pre-orders for the laces in to EUSA NO LATER than October 1 for your team. For the rest, just score goals! And when the laces come in (about 2 weeks from date of order), wear them with pride!
