EUSA recognizes that exposure of non-smokers to tobacco smoke (passive smoking) is hazardous to health and that non-smokers should be protected, escpecially our children.
Passive smoking can lead to serious illnesses in adults such as bronchitis, lung cancer and cardiovascular disease. Children can also develop chest illnesses and asthma from exposure to tobacco smoke. Accordingly, the following policy has been developed by EUSA to protect the health of all concerned.
EUSA acknowledges its leadership role in the sport of soccer and aims to be a good role model for the community. The move to go 100% smokefree also compliments our desire to create a healthy family and community friendly environment.
Therefore, all EUSA fields, events, meetings, games, practices, and any other event or function are considered to be 100% smoke free environments.
This policy applies to all EUSA members, administrators, officials, coaches, parents, players, visitors and volunteers of EUSA. This policy also applies when these groups are representing EUSA or attending any EUSA facilities, functions, or events.
We request that if you need to smoke, please do so in the privacy of your vehicle.
