Our season ends on June 19^th.  We are asking you to continue to be patient and follow our mask requirements until the end of the season to ensure we keep our soccer community safe.  We know everyone is eager to remove their masks and go forward as if life is back to normal.  But it is not! 

In New Jersey, only 42% of adults have been fully vaccinated.  54% have had at least one dose of the vaccine.  On top of that, we have just begun immunization for the U12+ age group.  By all estimates, New Jersey expects to be at 70% of one dose vaccinations by June 30^th, 2021.  

The CDC has indicated just last week that IF YOU ARE FULLY VACCINATED you can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.  https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html

Since we cannot determine who is and who is not vaccinated, we ask that you keep your mask on for the remainder of the Spring season.  By any luck, and folks doing the right thing, we should be maskless and fully vaccinated by the Fall season.

On 5/17/21,  Governor Murphy signed Executive Order No. 241 https://nj.gov/infobank/eo/056murphy/pdf/EO-241.pdf, paragraph 1 indicating that individuals in outdoor public spaces are not required to wear masks, regardless of their ability to maintain six feet of distance from other individuals or groups, and regardless of their vaccination status. …Employers and entities are permitted to impose stricter requirements regarding mask-wearing in outdoor settings for employees, customers, guests, or other individuals.  The provision in Executive Order No 239 requiring six feet of distance between attendees at an outdoor gathering, with certain limited exceptions, remains in effect.

Further paragraph 2 “outdoor public spaces” do not include child care centers, other child care facilities, youth summer camps, and public, private, and …elementary and secondary schools.
